The Waste Reduction Subcommittee focuses on creating innovative, real-world solutions to reduce our city’s waste stream. Members are currently working on educational materials as well as working model for waste reduction that can be implemented within the home and/or workplace. Topics include plastics, food waste, composting, construction and demolition debris as well as hazardous waste.

A group called “eco-cycle” has put together a great workbook with many tips on building Zero-Waste communities. to help reduce your plastic waste and more. It contains interesting information, worksheets, recipes, and more. Click here to download their  “How To Quit Plastics Workbook”.
